ISTE Conference 2011

The International Society for Technology in Education is dedicated to educator’s innovative and effective uses of technology.  Each year, ISTE hosts a conference (formerly NECC) geared just for educators and includes hundreds of concurrent sessions. There are many topics from School Improvement to Digital Age Teaching & Learning.

Last year, the SIGIVC Committee held several sessions featuring program providers and implementing video conferencing in the classroom. Then on the last day, a group of Pirates headed an IVC (Interactive Video Conference) Playground featuring all the top competitors in video conferencing. Polycom and CISCO (Tandberg) showcased HD equipment and many others featured desk top video conferencing products.

June 26-29, 2011 the Pirates will be back again to host another IVC Showcase and Playground featuring the many uses of videoconferencing equipment as well as more content providers to choose from. If you will be attending this conference make sure to join the Pirates and have a chance to win prizes and collect valuable booty!
